Now that the trade school is complete and 100% paid for, we invite you to partner with us in being                       able to sponsor scholarships in the                                   VocationalEDGE Program                        to individual students to achieve the education for the benefit of themselves and their families.

Sewing Department

Carrefour des Peres Trade School

The Sewing Department of the Carrefour des Peres Trade School not only teaches the fundamentals of sewing, designing, tailoring, and sewing machine maintenance, but also shares information on employment opportunities. This two year program enables each student to be proficient on both treadle and electric machines.

Our Teachers

Let me introduce you to our sewing department teachers, all very experienced and skilled in education, but with a concentration on home economics and sewing.

To meet our growing needs we have 3 teachers who bring specific gifts to their instruction.  Dulia has not only been a teacher and principal, but has been busy sewing for the Catholic clergy in northern Haiti. Edolphe, the proud father of his new-born twins, is experienced in tailoring and machine maintenance and repair. And "Mama," brings years of experience in perfecting her sewing craft.
