Trade School of Carrefour des Peres
A newly constructed 5,800 square foot trade school has been completed which will offer instruction in the following disciplines for the adults in Carrefour des Peres and neighboring communities...sewing, cooking, carpentry, and masonry.
Construction began February 2020 on the dream of a trade school in Carrefour des Peres.
After consulting with the residents of this rural community as to the kind of instructions they would like to experience, it was decided to offer sewing, cooking, carpentry and masonry.
Progress in the construction was delayed many times due to the Covid virus, weather, and social upheaval.
Today, the construction is in its final phases. The sewing school is operational with 3 teachers, 20 sewing machines and over 100 students. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary cabinetry and appliances, and tools and machinery have been purchased for the carpentry school.
With security always important, the school is designed to enhance safety.
